Kuler Adobe is a site where we sort of come across in one of Mark's lecture when we talk about colours and to choosing the right colours to present something about us as well as to have the colours coordinated and suited nicely together.

This particular colour scheme that I am looking at this the closest I can get to match the colour scheme for my website. Although I may not use all the colours in there but it is the closest to what I can use in the same category.

Desginer's Website

Compared to 2advanced.com, both of this designer's website that I come accross has very simple design and their aim is just to sell their company but not their designs. As I was going through the two websites,they are specialized in helping people to design website but their own website has very simple features. I am not saying it is something unprofessional but I guess as they are being professional, they would also try to be simple and reach their audience in a proper manner and not to confuse them. User-friendly.
Well..at least what I am trying to say is...you don't necessarily need a very complicated website because the aim is to sell the product of the company to the targetted audience and to get that message across. Obviously we also have to determine what we are promoting too.

Avril Lavigne

She's my favourite singer so no doubt I will visit her website. She used to have her studio picture on the header but now it has changed to her current concert picture. I particularly enjoy looking at the design which has her name on it. It looks interesting. Although I may have the likings to do something like hers but I guess the theme to mine is rather different. The colour might be a little bit distracting but it does show a person's characteristic. Probably is also the latest colour for Avril herself: like a transformation after she gotten married... =)

Legends and Legacies

The content for this site probably has a wrong bearing on it because it all went to the left of the site rather than to the center of the page. Maybe there's problem in getting the page to look nice because the first time looking at it...the page was alright but when I come bek again to the site, turns out like this. However, what I like about this site is the doted lines that is presented... as well as the way they make their header.

Black Background

Skins is one of my favourite British tv series so far...really impresses me compared to other tv series which I find it rubbish. Anyway, skins' website has this youth and vibrant feeling when you surf it. The colours and the content they put in are very vibrant and youthful. I guess it is the youth that the producers are targetting so they are using colours to also bring something close to youth. It does have something similar to Avril Lavigne's website where black and pink is concern (See Avril) Similarly as to Celine' website, although black is her background but what stands out is the picture in the middle and her name. I guess that is what makes the website significant as long as you can target your main message to your audience. Black background can be catchy but it does brings out the message you want to promote because it stands out.

Liverpool FC

I was thinking since my website will be based on my life in Liverpool...guess it will be best to have a look at LFC..and my...my first reaction to it...It look like BBC's website. It probably may not look as bright as LFC's but my first thought to it that it looks something like BBC

River Island

This website has interesting features which I like. I like the way it is presented. The picture of the two model gives a sense as if it has been cut out and paste on the page. Looks interesting which I am adopting it to mine. The notepad at the side is what I am looking for also for my website. Since I am going to do something about me and I thought best to have my website design something personal. Like what we used to have previously giving to friends to write something on our book as something to remember.

Hope City Church

This is my church's website. First look on it, looks rather attractive and interesting because it has all sorts of information on their activities and how happening they are as a community. However, the way they position their content is too cluttered. It may seem organized however probably too much information on one page.

Sony Ericsson

I particularly don't quite like this website because the colour is rather annoying. It is painful inthe eye to just look at it. Makes my eyes very uncomfortable.

Sony

I was expecting something nice from Sony. However, they have a very simple website. Apparently the logo for their brand is equally as big as Bravia.

High School Musical 1 & 2

I was curious about the children tv drama that I decided to have a look at the website. It is very interactive and attractive. They spend a lot on flash to create the website which kids now a days enjoy so much. Time spend to do is obviously long. Both of the website sort of look a like expecially when it is from Disney. However it is the content that is much different as well as the music.

Art Attack

This is one of my favourite tv shows I used to watch when I was younger so I thought of checking out the website online. It still has the image there the same as on the tv, probably that has been their branding for some time which peopl can recognize easily. I like the paint splats on the backgraound.

Movies anyone?

This is two of my visited websites to watch free movies online http://www.crunchyroll.com/ and http://www.mysoju.com/ . It provides me the content free of charge although members can actually signed up and support the website by donating some money to the website.
Both of this websites usually doesn't contain a lot of pictures but most of it are texts. Updates are frequent also where the webmaster can announce latest updates on movies and videos to their members. It also has the function like forums to allow their members to communicate with one another on their dislikes and likings. Comments are applicable too.
This is the header for http://www.mysoju.com/ - the design is very simple and nice. I like the color combination too.

2Advanced

This is a very very advance website where technically it uses very complicated features. One of the side backs of this site is that it is too complicated and advanced, probably not quite suitable for people to just scroll through and have a look for fun because it actually makes the audience to search for the information. It has no proper meaning to what this site is.
First impression towards this site is that it gives me a feeling of 'transformer' as well as though the site is for treasure hunters to look for treasures.
The image is fantastic and very sophisticated which actually draws audience to pay attention to it first. The image also gives me a feeling like there is something to be explored on the image.
This site also specifically uses the Mystery Meat Navigations where we are expected to explore the site ourselves. www.2advanced.com
